Some of our donors like to bring us specific items on our wish list. Others may choose to send in a monetary donation for us to use toward operations such as medical needs, vaccines, microchips, food and litter. Please know that any monetary donation, no matter its size, is also greatly appreciated and will be put to immediate use. The demands of the shelter are immense, and your dollars will be invaluable in meeting the needs of our animals.

Why we need your help…

  • Since we do not euthanize for space and do not put a time limit on adoptable animals, they can remain in our care for many, many months, sometimes surpassing a year.
  • The approximate average length of stay of our dogs is 2-3 weeks, while cats are closer to 2-3 months due to the large volume.
  • The approximate average cost to care for a dog until it’s adopted is $350, with a cat ranging from $750-$1000. Multiply those numbers by 3,000, the average number of animals we care for each year, to see how the costs can really add up!
  • In addition to general care, many of our animals need medical treatment for illness and injuries.

We do not receive government funding, or funding from any state or national humane organizations.
