WCHS recognizes that unexpected things can happen in our lives that require us to make changes. For whatever reason, people may be forced to surrender their animal(s). Please know that we will do everything in our power to ensure your surrendered animal is placed in a responsible, loving home. The surrender fee we charge is for your pet to come into our facility and will help us care for your animal until he or she is placed in a new home.
If you need to surrender an animal to our shelter, we ask that you call and make an appointment first. Priority is given to Washington County residents, but we may take out of county animals if space permits.
Please call our shelter during business hours to make arrangements for animal surrenders at 262-677-4388.
