Romp With The Animals is a Summer school program designed to develop a child’s appreciation and respect for the many animals we share the earth with, and to foster responsible attitudes toward those animals as well as our environment. Romp is held four days a week from 8:30am – 4:30pm for children going into 1st through 5th grade. There are two sessions, June or July, to choose from. One day is spent at the shelter where the children learn about many different companion animals and how to care for them. On subsequent days, activities, presentations, and field trips revolve around wildlife, an exotic animal sanctuary and different types of farm animals. Registration is $200.00 per child. This fee includes their snacks and beverages each day, a program t-shirt, all activities, and bus transportation to the off-site locations. Children provide their own bag lunch. Please contact the WCHS Volunteer Coordinator at 262-677-4388 for more information.
