Give A Little, Get A Little – Special Needs Opportunities

Volunteering at WCHS is an amazing opportunity to give your time and talents to help area animals who need it the most.

Special needs individuals are encouraged to fill out a volunteer commitment application before meeting with the Volunteer Coordinator to discuss the necessary position requirements. WCHS continually reviews all its volunteer opportunities and is ready and willing to work with all individuals to guarantee a successful experience for the volunteer and shelter.

Please note: the Volunteer Coordinator will decide on a case by case basis if additional supervision or a caregiver needs to be present. This is for the safety of both the animals and individuals volunteering.

Due to the size of our shelter, we cannot always accommodate all applicants, and some opportunities are limited. We take applicants based on our current shelter needs and volunteer positions available.
